Your morning sets the tone for the rest of your day. Start off positively with a drop or two of Balance on the bottoms of your feet or on the back of your neck. This will help you stay grounded and stable as you tackle the day ahead.
Then, before you brush your teeth, start your oral health routine by scraping your tongue. This little-known trick removes bacteria and freshens your breath. To do so, use either your toothbrush or a tongue scraper. Many toothbrushes have a small built-in tongue scraper on the head of the toothbrush, but if not, you can always use the bristles instead.
Don’t forget your vitamins! Taking vitamins from the [Lifelong Vitality (LLV) pack] with your two main meals of the day can provide the daily vitamins and minerals you need.
Finally, step up your hydration with essential oils. Just add a couple drops of lemon or grapefruit oil to your water, making sure to use a steel or glass cup, as you head out the door for better digestive health.
Take a minute to listen to your body throughout the day. Ask yourself how you’re feeling. Tired? Stressed? Low on energy? The answers will guide you toward which oils will be most helpful to you.
If you feel tired, try diffusing some peppermint in the palms of your hands and taking a deep inhale. Let the sharp scent recenter you and refresh your mind.
If you’re stressed out, place Balance and Serenity on the back of your neck and wrists.
If you have a looming deadline or just need an extra kick in the pants to get to work, use InTune under your nose and on the back of your neck.
Don’t forget that afternoon snack! To help your body digest better, try a TerraZyme, which has a bunch of enzymes to break down the different parts of your food so they’re easier to process.
Dinner means it’s time for the other portion of your LLV vitamins to plug any nutritional holes in your diet.
Before bed, make sure you take some time to fully relax. One easy tip is to not read on your phone, as the “blue light” from the screen disrupts your body’s release of melatonin, a natural sleep hormone. Pull out an old-fashioned paperback instead for some nice downtime before calling it a night. Or, if you must be on your phone, check if it has a Night Shift setting that replaces blue light with orange light so your eyes can adjust.
As the evening wraps up, take two Serenity gel caps and a PB+ Assist before bed. You can also put one or two sleep oils on the bottom of your feet and the tip of your nose to calm you and get ready for bed. There are many combinations to use, but here are a few of my favorites:
Lavender and Cedarwood
Serenity and Vetiver
Cedarwood, Lavender and Wild Orange
If you wake up in the middle of the night and can't fall back to sleep, apply the above oils again and do some breathing exercises to lull yourself to sleep.
